Maine Surf Camps

There is nothing more exhilarating than that first successful drop into a wall of rushing water! As you paddle for all you’re worth, seeing the wave start to surround and overtake you, wondering if you’ll claim a glorious victory or a humbling “drink from the fire hose” every particle of your being is tingling. You feel the split second when the time is right... you pop up! Success! Welcome to surfing, the way it should be! Aquaholics Surf Camps make easy to fall in love with the healthy sport of surfing in the pristine surroundings of Southern Maine. The camps are geared for beginner to novice, children and adults. We pride ourselves on our succes rate. Nearly every surfer is up and riding by the end of the first camp session. By the end of the week, our “campers” feel confident enough to try it on their own. Aquaholics is fully insured and sanctioned by area Parks and Recreation departments. Register for surf camp here.

Winter/Fall Camps

Don't let the cold weather fool you- it's a great time to surf. Aquaholics offers surf camps throughout the Fall and Winter in Southern Maine. We’ve had several adventerous surf students take their first lesson during a blizzard. Talk about extreme! You'll feel like a super hero after surfing winter conditions!

What to Bring

  • Swim suit / Swim trunks
  • Snack & Drink
  • Towel (We have 'em at Aquaholics)
  • Sunscreen!!! (Available in our surf shop)
  • Money to pay remainder of lesson/camp

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your lesson/camp time to get fitted for a wetsuit, sign a waiver and pay.

Parents are always welcome to stay and watch or take pictures!

Our Instructors

From national surfing champs to highly experienced teens, the Aquaholics team can teach anyone how to catch a wave! Our instructors are all CPR certified. The staff includes lifeguards and fitness professionals. All of them focus on safety and FUN! They might be a little loony, but these surfers know how to get their students up and surfing!
