Hi everyone, Welcome to the Aquaholics newsletter- Swell Events 2nd Edition. There was a delay between one and two because I'm pretty inept with the tech stuff, but thanks to Saco Design I think we have it wired now. If you haven't seen it yet- please check out our new website at www.aquaholicsurf.com! Mom's MorningsWell, Mom's morning was a hit Tuesday. We all got some minor spankings due to the little swell we saw rolling in through the day. There was some fun stuff! Add to the spankings the "shark" sightings off Wells Beach Monday, well, some of the girls were a little on the edge. Lisa Stevens brought a few friends and they had a BLAST. Cookie didn't have it as dialed-in as last week, but the waves were rough. We had our token guy, Tom Pizzo, and he was (as always) a perfect gentleman. He may show his edgy side when his girls start dating. Fortunes was fun with waist high waves, but TONS of people in the lineup. If you haven't heard me say it a hundred times... HOLD YOUR BOARD! It is NOT fun to get hit with someone else's board. Always have a hand on your board! I saw 2 boards fly in my first 3 minutes out. I really think Kennebunk had better size Tuesday afternoon with the lineup of up-and-coming grom crew out surfing. Brock, Jeff, Wiley, Mike and a few of Mike's chums. Hurricane season is here, but you'd never know it, the past ten days or so have been sooo flat. Hopefully that's about to change but don't hold your breath! Nothing on the horizon (but Altitude Lou mentioned a little something this morning on the NPR weather report...) Late Season Sales! We're winding up the summer season and the sale rack is everywhere. Spring and Summer 2006 clothing; 20% off when you print this newsletter and bring it in! Shorties and rashguards included. Boards and hard goods are EXCLUDED. We have Triathlon suits for rent now, so reserve early. We also have full body rashguards to make putting on and taking off your wetsuit a BREEZE. Try one on! Wrapping Up A Great Camp SeasonOne more week of camp, and we're really going to miss our apprentices! You groms are amazing! SuZQ is in California and Mexico surfing (lucky you!), but we'll see her for camp next week. This week's camp is also an adult camp and we've got 24 "students". Check out the Award Ceremony Friday night, it's sure to be a hoot! We'll be offering weekend camps through fall starting in September, so check your schedule and give us a call- 207.967.8650 Thanks for reading... Visit us online! Home | Directions | Hours | contact |
